"There is a flint-like integrity that shines through every one of these stories, revealing the essential nature of this brilliant satirical writer."—Len Leatherwood
“Savor the wit and wisdom of Wendel Sloan in this cornucopia of essays served up with classic satire, pithy insight and deep reflection. His slice-of-life vignettes in 'Kill a Moose for Jesus' sometimes bite with the truth so many fail to see or choose to ignore. His one-liners throughout the text are simple but profound, causing the reader to chuckle one second and then pause and ponder everything from birth to death and life itself.”—Kathleen M Rodgers, award-winning author
“Wendel Sloan’s essays are funny, aerobic and touching. He makes even the toughest grouch crack a grin.”—Robert Patrick, Broadway playwright ("Kennedy’s Children")
