Raymond Pata, an immigrant from Haiti, is charming, young, and handsome. He will do anything to achieve his dreams of superstardom, even if it means selling his soul to the dark side. Misguided by the belief that sacrificed blood of young women will please the ‘gods’ and bring success, Ray becomes a sadistic, serial killer. He falls hopelessly in love with a mysterious woman, Geraldine, who comes into his life and changes everything.

Sebati Edward Mafate was born in Zambia and raised in Botswana and South Africa. Aside from his writings, Sebati is also an independent filmmaker. His first feature film, Black Cobra, was based on his second novel, When The Cobra Strikes, and released by a major Hollywood distributor, Lionsgate Films. Sebati continues to write and pursue a successful career in filmmaking in Southern California, where he resides with his wife, Vivian Lorena, and their four children. The Devil's Concubine is his third novel to date.
